Our Trip to the 2024 Austin Film Festival

We are freshly back from Austin and WOW… we couldn’t have had a better time at this AWESOME screenwriting festival.

Let’s start by saying we were truly blessed in the dozens upon dozens of fellow screenwriters we spoke to while in Austin. From LA to NYC, North Carolina to Seattle, and everywhere in between - it was SO COOL hearing about all of your screen writing journeys.

Second, OH MY GOSH were there some AWESOME panels and panelists. We made sure to hit up three per day while ALSO jamming in at least two movies per day. Is there anything better than watching new, awesome films while snacking on popcorn with M&M’s mixed in? We think not!

Finally, the networking opportunities were off the charts, especially at The Driskill - although Dave BIT IT and tripped, falling flat on his face. Sadly, he was completely sober.

If you have ever considered going to this festival - it is a MUST! You will meet kind, like minded screenwriters and industry pros alike PLUS get to watch some awesome films and explore a neat city.
